Muslims in Rail continued the ‘Discover Ramadan’ Iftar tour, this time stopping in Manchester where Khizra Mosque kindly hosted our colleagues!
The mosque tour took attendees along on a journey to see the beautiful mosques features such as the ‘Peace Garden’, along with the intricate geometrical designs and Islamic calligraphy on show. They were also shown the mosques’ facilities and services in the form of a youth centre and hub for feeding the homeless.
The guests were then treated to some lovely Mancunian-style hearty food as they all broke their fast together, irrespective of faith or belief. We hope all of our attendees had a memorable experience!
