Muslims in Rail was delighted to welcome colleagues and friends from across the rail and transport industry for an evening that brought people through inspiring conversations, networking and a shared celebration of sport, for our annual London Eid dinner.
The evening got off to a great start as guests gathered to watch the England vs DR Congo match, with England’s victory setting a positive and celebratory tone for the rest of the event.
We were then honoured to host an engaging fireside conversation featuring our distinguished guest speakers, Siwan Hayward and David Davidson FCIRO, expertly facilitated by Zahra Hanif. The discussion explored a wide range of important topics, from the future of the railway and industry leadership to safeguarding, security, and creating a more inclusive and trusted transport network. Their insights sparked thoughtful conversations that continued throughout the evening.
Guests also enjoyed a delicious desi style buffet before putting their knowledge to the test in our World Cup themed quiz, with some friendly competition and prizes adding to the fun. The evening concluded with informal networking.
