Muslims in Rail (MIR) Ambassadors, Zahid Shaikh and Mohammed Al-Sharif recently represented at an event hosted by the University of Birmingham aimed at addressing the challenges facing young Muslims in the labour market.
The event attracted over 250 students from universities across the Midlands, eager to hear from leading professionals across diverse industries. Attendees gained valuable insights into building successful careers, with a strong focus on career guidance and networking. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy.
Students from a wide range of disciplines, including electrical and electronic engineering, aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, construction management, and cybersecurity, were in attendance. The evening also featured engaging discussions, networking opportunities, and career talks from various charities and organisations.
