MIR’s own Nasir Khan MBE and Azhar Quaiyoom represented at this year’s London Build Expo 2023. in Kensington Olympia. Each were guest panel speakers in Diversity & Inclusion in Recruitment and Sustainability in Building Design live sessions.
Nasir shared, “It was an amazing session. Retention is about Relevancy, Relationship and keeping it Real. Attraction is about approach, engagement, and brand excitement. Almost all major employers have EDI lead, diversity groups, cultural and faith events, etc. Is this making a difference? If the answer is No, then do things differently, collect data, show that you are anti-racist, show that you care, give people a learning and development platform that improves their careers, increases their desire to develop personally and professionally.”
