Muslims in Rail were privileged to speak alongside industry EDI Ambassadors at the London Build Expo in Kensington Olympia, the UK’s leading Construction industry show.
MIR Co-Founder & Director Nasir Khan MBE highlighted the lack of action on improving ethnic diversity at senior levels and the ongoing issue of the ethnicity pay gap. Recent statistics have been telling in this area. Whilst the gender pay gap has seen an improvement over the past 25 years (from 28% to 12%), the ethnicity pay gap is still lagging considerably at 28.5% in 2022 according to recent estimates.
