In annual tradition, Muslims in Rail (MIR) hosted multiple Open Iftar events in partnership with some of the UK’s most iconic Mosques. Hundreds of guests of all faiths took part in special collaboration Iftar events in East London Mosque, Green Lane Mosque (Birmingham), UKIM Khizra Mosque (Manchester) and the beautiful Glasgow Central Mosque. Guests were treated to a unique tour of the Mosque, insightful presentations on Ramadan and fasting, witnessing the evening prayer before enjoying a delicious Iftar meal with fasting colleagues. Notable key note speakers included senior executives Nick Dent (Transport for London) and Anit Chandarana (Network Rail).
Colleagues from Network Rail, Transport for London, Scotrail, London North East Railway, Avanti West Coast, and countless were in attendance.
