An inspiring evening at the launch of the Muslim Railway Heritage exhibition & documentary by Muslims in Rail at the prestigious Houses of Parliament.
This wasn’t just about steel, tracks and trains – it was about honouring heritage, celebrating history and laying foundations for all the stations, junctions, and journeys still to come.
We were privileged to hear from inspiring voices:
* Emma Roberts (Railway 200) powerfully linked our exhibition to how generations of railway workers shaped Britain’s prosperity and social fabric.
* Sir Andrew Haines (CEO, Network Rail) reminded us that “those who spread hate and division need to see what you (MIR) do.”
* Trish Ashton (Director, Transport for London) took on the challenge of building a workforce that truly reflects the diverse customer base TfL serves.
Highlights of the evening included:
✨ Launch of the Hejaz Railway & Pioneering Muslims in Rail exhibition and film
