MIR took part in its 3rd consecutive Al-Noor Dragon Boat Race, competing with 75 charitable teams across the UK to raise money for our charity partner Mercy Mission UK.
Although the team missed out on a Semi-final place, it did win one of its two heats in a thrilling race to the finish line, rowing in tricky weather conditions at Fairlop Waters.
The charitable funds raised this year has been to help support UK refugees rebuild their lives via Mercy Mission’s New Dawn Program – offering vital grants to budding talented entrepreneurs who cannot access support otherwise. To date over £5.000 has been raised for this cause, around a third through our participating Boat race team. We thank each and all donors for their support!
