Muslims in Rail aims to increase awareness and understanding through community engagements. We were glad to have delivered our 100th event since inception, the second of four nationwide Discover Ramadan Iftar dinners, in London at the East London Mosque & London Muslim Centre.
Many guests joined and were treated to a private guided tour, special presentations and talks from guest speakers, before enjoying a delicious evening meal with friends and colleagues some of whom were fasting to mark the end of the daily fast. Attendees also got a chance to observe the evening prayer congregational prayer.
Commenting on the London event, Jordan said: “its been amazing, it’s been inspiring, it’s opened my eyes. I would highly recommend if there’s another tour that everyone signs up because it’s been fantastic!”
Jacqueline added: “I found out so much about the Muslim community… It’s been so warm and welcoming thank you!”
Alex remarked: “It’s been a real pleasure to come to the Mosque today, I’ve enjoyed the hospitality, the environment and most of all the food!”
